Abstract[概要] : This study guide is a supporting kit that aims to help students to prepare for the Schoolbased Assessment (SBA) in Hong Kong. As a solid foundation of reading and viewing are prerequisites for students to perform well in the SBA, this study guide aims at fostering students' critical comprehension skills through studying samples of the text types prescribed in the Curriculum and Assessment Guide. A step by step approach is adopted in the design of the package so as to enable students to transit smoothly from grasping the basic information to formulating critical responses to a text.
